Boots polished? Looking sharp? Full tank? Check, check and check. Meet us at Kommune at 8:30am on Sunday 22nd May for coffee and donuts and we’ll roll out together for DGR 2022.

Our Dapper Paparazzi will be capturing the pre-ride shenanigans and we’re giving away a Cheers You Legend prize pack worth over $1000 to the person who raises the most funds for this noble cause. Note: you’ll need to be at Kommune on the morning of the 22nd to receive your pack.

Big shout out to our mates at Modern Motorcycle Company for donating a schmick Cafe Racer Kit that’ll go very nicely indeed with one of our Revolt Control Modules- you’ll be one of the first to own this life changing gadget, so keep it close and be prepared for great envy from your mates! Speaking of buy-less-choose-well, Modern Motorcycle Company have been our go-to guys for all the custom basics for years. Based here in Melbourne and now warehousing around the world, MMCC are passionate about quality and they make it easy to give stock parts the flick and make your machine feel like yours. Their retro style motorcycle parts are made in Taiwan to a far higher standard of finish, durability and corrosion resistance compared to cheap, Chinese copies. We wouldn’t back them if we wouldn’t use them ourselves!

We Are Hiring!

Our team is looking for skilled and experienced trainers for our courses and 1-on-1 sessions. The courses run on Monday or Tuesday evenings and 1-on-1 sessions are flexible, so you can work to your own schedule. We’re looking for the following skill sets:

– Welding & fabrication

– General maintenance & servicing

– Electrics

– Fault finding & tuning

If you’re experienced in any or all of these fields, you enjoy working with people, consider yourself welcoming and open-minded and are keen to pass on your moto knowledge to our community, send an email to Nina with a bit about yourself and your skills: nina@kustomkommune.com.au

Volunteers Wanted

Kustom Kommune is a Social Enterprise and for almost a decade now we’ve aimed to create an engaging, welcoming and accessible space for everyone, no matter your age, background, gender or level of moto knowledge. By volunteering your time to keep the space operational, not only will you learn new skills but you’ll be making a direct positive impact on a very social community and have a hand in shaping the future of the DIY scene.

Volunteering at Kommune isn’t just about motorcycles though, it’s about creating lasting networks and providing a home from home for our members. Some of our volunteers are mechanical geniuses and some are still learning the basics – you gotta start somewhere. Regardless of your experience, we welcome everyone to get involved. We’ll always have knowledgeable volunteers around and we’re always willing to support those that want to learn. Send Nina an email if you’re keen to join the team: nina@kustomkommune.com.au

Cheers Legends,

Jimmy G & the Kommune crew.
